In this oblique axial plane, the sloping forehead (due to dysgenesis of the frontal lobe) causes the appearance of the orbits to mimic the protruding orbits seen in anencephaly. |
This fetus had multiple additional anomalies, including absent nose, hypotelorism, cerebellar hypoplasia, and cleft lip and palate. |
