This is a serious inflammatory disease that causes narrowing of the breathing tubes resulting in wheezing and shortness of breath. Asthma can be caused by sensitivity to certain allergies like pollen, dust, mild mites and animal dander. It may also be aggravated or triggered by viral infections.
